Transfer Students & Credits
TRANSFER CREDIT POLICY
Credits from legitimate institutions may be accepted. General Education credits from colleges or universities accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education are accepted.
Courses with a letter grade of less than a C are not accepted.
Transfer Credit Limit
Students may transfer up to 60 units from a recognized school.
Evaluation of Courses and Credits
For incoming students who have completed credits at another institution, HGCC will evaluate transcripts and help students transfer as many classes that can be used in the corresponding HGCC degree program.
Current Students Transfer Policy
On certain occasions, a student may wish to take classes for transfer from junior colleges or other institutions during the summer. These courses will only be transferred if the student has received advanced approval from the Academic Dean. The courses under consideration must be equivalent to those offered at Harbor Genesis Christian College and not be offered online through HGCC in the semester.
Transfer & Articulation Agreements
Articulation Agreements are formal agreements (or some would call a partnership) between two or more Colleges and Universities
documenting the transfer policies for a specific academic program or degree in general.
Harbor Genesis Christian College will be publishing soon all articulation agreements.
Transfer Credit to Other Institutions
Acceptance of earned credits is determined by the receiving institution.
