We offer a full array of financial aid programs, grants, work-study, loans and scholarships to full-time and part-time students.Financial Aid & Scholarships
Financial aid (FA) is awarded to students with limited resources to meet their educational expenses. FA can cover partial or full tuition expenses. Financial aid is based on availability. To qualify for any aid, a student must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
Students with substantial financial need may qualify to receive a tuition waiver up to 49% so long as he or she maintains an overall GPA of 2.5. Financial aid is based on availability.
Merit discounts are awarded based on your individual accomplishments, whether they are academic, ministerial, or otherwise. Merit scholarships are not awarded to special students. High School Graduates Merit Discount High school graduates may qualify for a merit discount based on the following high school overall GPAs: 3.0 GPA - 50% tuition discount 3.5 GPA - 75% tuition discount 4.0 GPA - 100% tuition discount
To be eligible, you must be a pastor or a son or daughter of a pastor. The pastoral discount allows students to receive 40% off tuition. Upon obtaining a 3.5 overall GPA, the student may qualify to receive a 100% discount on tuition. The student must maintain a 3.0 GPA to maintain the 40% discount. FA must be completed for consideration.
U.S. military personnel qualify for a 40% discount.
HGCC scholarships funds come from outside third parties. Upon availability, a student may be awarded partial or full scholarships. Students must complete the financial aid application to be considered for scholarships.
Work Study
This program provides part-time jobs for students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to help pay education expenses.
