What do students learn?
General Education
GE 101 - 3 units This course prepares students to handle a wide range of college writing assignments. Students will acquire the analytical skills necessary to succeed in the academic realm by reviewing grammar and improving their critical thinking skills.
GE 102 - 3 units This course is a continuation course of GE 101. Students will learn advanced critical reading and writing skills.

GE 102S - 3 units This course is a continuation course of GE 101S. Students will learn advanced critical reading and writing skills. The course is taught in Spanish.
GE 103 - 3 units This course will introduce the student to the basics of research. In specific, the course will teach students about pure, original, and secondary research. Students will learn how to navigate academic databases and websites to conduct research, and how to incorporate and read statistical evidence.

GE 109 - 3 units This course gives an introduction to sociology from a Christian perspective. Students will learn how to apply knowledge from sociology to better understand society and social institutions.
GE 110 - 3 units This course gives an introduction to psychology from a Christian perspective. This course will help students understand how the brain works, the scientific method, perception, memory and other important subjects in psychology.
GE 111 - 3 units This course gives an introduction to American politics. Students will learn about American political institutions and how they work. In addition, students will learn about the various forms of governments that exist. Emphasis will be placed on the relationship between politics and religion.
GE 113 - 3 units This course introduces student to the Biblical Greek alphabet, word formation, the verbal system and syntax. Students will learn how to use various tools such as concordances, lexicons, and online tools to conduct Biblical Greek word studies.
GE 202 - 3 units This course introduces students to various philosophers such as Plato and Socrates and summarizes their philosophies. In addition, philosophical principles contrary to the Bible will be analyzed from a Christian apologetic stance. Emphasis will be placed on the relationship between Christianity and philosophy.
Bible & Theology
B T 101 - 3 units This course is a survey of the Old Testament. Students will gain a broad knowledge of every book in the Old Testament.
B T 102 - 3 units This course is a survey of the New Testament. Students will gain a broad knowledge of every book in the New Testament.
BT105 - 3 units This course will explore the study of Theology, Bibliology, Christology, Pneumatology, and Anthropology.
BT 106 - 3 units This course will explore the study of Angelology, Harmartology, Ecclesiology, Soteriology, and Eschatology
B T 112A - 3 units This course covers early and medieval Christian church history.
BT 112B – 3 units This course covers reformation and modern Christian church history.
B T 301 - 3 units This course is an expository study of the Old Testament and the New Testament. Students will conduct advanced research on both testaments.
BT 302 – 3 units This course introduces students into the various perspectives of theology of gender. This includes women serving in the ministry, non-traditional relationships, and other controversial issues such as intersexuality. Furthermore, all anti-biblical views are approached from a conservative Christian apologetic stance.
BT 303 – 3 units This course is an expository study of the book of Matthew. Emphasis will be placed on the life of Christ.
BT 305 - 3 units This course introduces students to the historical, literary, and theological interpretation of the Pentateuch.
BT 306 – 3 units This course is an expository study of the book of Romans.
BT 308 – 3 units This course is a survey of the evidences of the fundamental truths of Christianity. Students will be exposed to several worldviews and will learn to approach such views from a Christian apologetic stance.
BT 310 - 3 units This course examines theology and theological trends from post-World War I to the present. Various beliefs and movements such as Modern Roman Catholicism, Liberation Theology, and Charismatic Theology will be exposed.
BT 402 – 3 units This course is an expository study of the book of Revelations. The book will be studied from a variety of schools of interpretation, such as preterist, historicist, idealist, and futuristic schools of interpretation.
BT 405 – 3 units This course is an expository study of 1 & 2 Corinthians. Students will analyze controversial topics such as the gift of tongues, head coverings, divorce and marriage.
BT 407 - 3 units This course covers advanced topics in Christian systematic theology. Special emphasis will be placed on the doctrine of God.
BT 408 – 3 units This course introduces students to five of the most widely recognized religions in the world today: Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism.
Ministry
MI 111 -3 units This course will teach the principles and practice of biblical interpretation, as well as the primary tools for biblical research.
MI 112A - 3 units This course introduces students to the art of preaching. Attention is given to sermon type, preparation, and delivery. Students also analyze the preparation processes and sermon delivery styles of notable preachers in the past and present.
MI 112B – 1 unit This lab course serves as hands on training for the Introduction to Homiletics (MI 112A) course. Expository preaching will be emphasized as students practice delivering sermons.
MI 202 – 3 units This course introduces students to the historical study of worship using Biblical concepts. Music and worship are studied from the middle to the modern ages. Students will be able to explain why certain religions and denominations use certain styles of worship.
MI 204 - 3 units This course introduces students to strategies and theories to be effective administrators of their personal lives, families, and ministries. In addition, students will have hands on training on using Google calendars, creating agendas, creating budgets, and other organizational tools.
MI 206 – 3 units In this course students will analyze the differences between Christian education and public education. Emphasis is placed on the importance of Christian education as students learn theories and techniques.
MI 305 – 3 units This course is an introduction to the principles, methods, and topics of Christian theological ethics.
MI 306 – 3 units This course presents students to Biblical principles for ministry and/or pastoral care.
MI 310 – 3 units This course introduces students to theories and techniques necessary for Christian Biblical counseling.
MI 409 – 3 units This course prepares students to engage in religious debate effectively by analyzing, evaluating, and refuting arguments. Students are exposed to several debate styles.
MI 411 – 3 units This course is designed to give students an introduction to the ministry of church planting, growth and renewal. Students will study Biblical principles for church planting and growth.
MI 410 – 3 units This course introduces students to principles and strategies for effective faith-based community transformation. Also, the importance of civic engagement will be emphasized.
MI 412 – 3 units This course introduces students to the philosophy of youth ministry. Students will gain an understanding of the contemporary postmodern culture and the needs and challenges of adolescents. Students will learn how to address needs and difficulties Biblically and ethically.
MI 415 - 3 units The course covers key components of project management such as project integration, scope, time, cost, and risk. Students learn to implement project management skills in a ministry context.
